As I sat down to write this month's Moonlit Glamour, I realized I was no longer asking myself the same questions I had been asking at the beginning of the year.
For months, my attention has been turned inward. I have been refining ideas, building rituals, writing, researching, facilitating, and tending to the work that has become The Feminine Citation. What began as a vision has slowly become a living practice. Since our last full moon, I have facilitated two Embodied Archives sessions—one held in person and another virtually—completed more than 150 Feminine Luminary Alignment readings, and begun developing grant proposals that would allow my dissertation research to continue growing beyond the university.
Somewhere along the way, something became undeniably clear: there are things I have been called to do that no one else is doing in quite the same way.
That realization isn't rooted in comparison or exceptionalism. It is rooted in responsibility. Every meaningful contribution asks something of the person entrusted to carry it. It asks for discipline, devotion, courage, and perhaps most importantly, generosity. Gifts that remain hidden cannot nourish the communities they were given to serve. This month's astrology feels so beautifully timed.
The Buck Moon arrives during the season when bucks begin growing a new set of antlers. Each year, they shed what once symbolized their maturity only to grow another, reminding us that strength is not static but continually renewed. Aquarius then asks us to consider what our own growth is ultimately for. It is the sign of collective vision, shared knowledge, and the circulation of ideas. It shifts our attention away from self-improvement for its own sake and toward the ways our becoming can contribute to something larger than ourselves.
Adding another layer to this lunation is today's Jupiter cazimi in Leo, a rare alignment that symbolically brings Jupiter—the planet associated with wisdom, generosity, expansion, and teaching—into the heart of the Sun. Together, these celestial movements invite a simple but profound reflection.

I have intentionally waited until today to publish this ritual. There is something fitting about approaching this full moon while standing on the threshold of the cazimi, allowing lunar illumination and solar expansion to speak to one another. One invites us to witness what has grown. The other asks us to trust it enough to offer it.
This month's Moonlit Glamour is an invitation to practice exactly that.
A Note on Glamour Conjure (REMINDER)
When I use the term glamour conjure, I am naming a practice rooted in lived tradition, embodiment, and interior discipline. Conjure reflects relationship and continuity. It names practices shaped through repetition, material intimacy, and care sustained over time. It is less about spectacle than about process — how knowledge settles into the body through return, refinement, and use.
Glamour, in this context, includes cultivation. It includes tending the small habits, environments, and boundaries that quietly shape self-image and relational presence. What is repeated becomes orientation. What is practiced becomes embodied. What is embodied becomes legible as presence.
Some elements of these rituals are shared openly. Others remain discreet, particularly where they intersect with culturally specific, initiatory, or lineage-based traditions. What is offered here reflects what can be shared responsibly, without collapsing context, flattening difference, or overexposing what requires stewardship.
This work honors both accessibility and restraint.

Glamour Lineage Profile: Oshun
The Buck Moon in Aquarius invites us to consider what we contribute to the communities we inhabit. It asks us to look beyond personal growth and toward the ways our gifts sustain collective life. Few figures embody this movement more gracefully than Oshun, the Yoruba orisha of sweet waters, fertility, beauty, diplomacy, abundance, and sacred reciprocity.
Popular culture often remembers Oshun for her beauty. While beauty is certainly part of her mythology, it is never the entirety of her power. Oshun's beauty is inseparable from her wisdom, emotional intelligence, creativity, and capacity to cultivate relationships. She teaches that attraction alone does not transform a community. Generosity does.
One of the most enduring narratives tells of the orisha attempting to create the world while dismissing Oshun's presence and contributions. Their efforts repeatedly failed. Only when they recognized her indispensable role and invited her fully into the work did creation flourish. The lesson is profound: communities cannot thrive when they overlook the gifts that make life possible.
Glamour, as I practice it, is never concerned with visibility for its own sake. It asks how beauty, intellect, presence, and devotion become offerings that nourish something beyond the self. Adornment may draw the eye, but generosity is what leaves a lasting imprint. The most magnetic women are not simply admired. They enrich the worlds they inhabit.
The Buck Moon echoes this truth through its own symbolism. As the buck grows a new set of antlers each year, visible growth emerges from an unseen season of nourishment. Aquarius then asks what that growth is ultimately for. Gifts that remain hidden cannot strengthen a community. Wisdom that never leaves the heart cannot become inheritance.
Under this full moon, Oshun offers a gentle but searching question: How does your presence make the world more abundant?
TO BE CLEAR: Not more crowded. Not more impressed. More abundant.
Perhaps your gift is scholarship that helps others name their experiences. Perhaps it is artistry that reminds people of beauty. Perhaps it is caregiving, leadership, hospitality, humor, healing, or the discipline of showing up with consistency. Whatever form it takes, your gift was never meant to terminate with you.
Oshun reminds us that sweetness is not frivolous, beauty is not superficial, and generosity is not depletion. They are all forms of sacred circulation and when we offer them faithfully, we become part of the ongoing work of making the world more livable.

The process reminds us that growth is not a singular achievement but an ongoing practice. Strength is renewed. Wisdom expands. What once served us gives way to a deeper expression of who we are becoming.

Aquarius asks us to consider not only what we have cultivated, but who ultimately benefits from it. It reminds us that our gifts are rarely given for our own fulfillment alone. They become most meaningful when they move beyond us.

In astrology, a cazimi occurs when a planet enters the heart of the Sun, symbolically illuminating the qualities that planet governs. Jupiter is associated with wisdom, generosity, teaching, expansion, and faith. Leo governs creative self-expression, courage, and the willingness to be seen. Together, they invite us to recognize the gifts we have spent years cultivating and to trust that they are worthy of being shared.

The dialogue between Leo and Aquarius is particularly important here. Leo asks, What has become uniquely yours to offer? Aquarius follows with a different question: How will your offering nourish the collective? Neither sign is complete without the other. Creative expression without contribution becomes self-contained. Service without authentic expression loses vitality. This full moon asks us to hold both.
The Buck Moon reminds us that nature does not confuse renewal with reinvention. The buck does not become another creature when new antlers emerge. It simply allows what has been growing unseen to become visible.
This moon invites the same of us.
MATERIALS
Gather the following before beginning your ritual. Many of these items have appeared throughout the Moonlit Glamour series, reminding us that sacred practice is built through repetition, devotion, and intentional use.
A mirror
A white or gold candle
Florida Water (or another spiritual cologne for blessing)
A journal and pen
One object that represents your gift or calling—a favorite book, your laptop, a paintbrush, a tarot deck, a musical instrument, a manuscript, sewing shears, or another tool you regularly use in your practice or craft.
Optional: a small bowl of water to represent Aquarius and the continual flow of wisdom, creativity, and generosity.
Optional Floral Offering
I will also be including:
A small handful of rose petals
1 teaspoon lavender
A pinch of hibiscus for beauty, vitality, and joyful expression
These botanicals are not required, but they create a beautiful offering beside the candle and gently reinforce this month's themes of generosity, creative flourishing, and sacred contribution.
SETTING THE SPACE
Prepare a quiet space where you can sit comfortably before a mirror.
Place your candle where it can safely illuminate the room without becoming the center of your attention. Tonight, the mirror—not the flame—is your primary witness.
Arrange your ritual object nearby. This should be something that represents the gift you are cultivating in the world: a journal, favorite pen, musical instrument, tarot deck, manuscript, laptop, camera, paintbrush, teaching materials, or another tool that faithfully carries your work.
If using flowers, honey, or a bowl of water, arrange them beside your candle as offerings rather than decorations.
Let your space reflect the abundance you are preparing to circulate.
Take a few slow breaths before beginning.
THE RITUAL
STEP 1: Light the Flame
Light your candle.
Allow yourself a few moments of stillness.
Rather than asking what must be released, ask:
What has quietly matured within me this year?
Do not rush to answer. Simply notice.
STEP 2: Mirror Witnessing
Sit before the mirror.
Look at yourself without adjusting your posture, fixing your hair, or evaluating your appearance.
This is not mirror work for affirmation. It is mirror work for recognition.
Meet your own gaze.
Say slowly:
I recognize what has been cultivated within me.
Pause.
Then say:
I no longer mistake humility for hiding.
Remain with yourself for several moments. Allow whatever emotions arise to arrive without judgment.
STEP 3: Consecrate the Gift
Take the object that represents your work into your hands.
Notice its weight.
Consider how many hours, years, conversations, failures, revisions, prayers, and acts of devotion it represents.
If using Florida Water, lightly anoint your hands before touching the object, or lightly mist the object itself if appropriate for the material.
Now say:
May what I have cultivated be offered with wisdom.
Pause.
Then continue:
May my gifts nourish more than my own life.
Finally:
May I have the courage to allow them to circulate.
Hold the object quietly for another minute or two.
STEP 4: Journal
Respond to the following prompts.
What gift has become undeniable within me?
Where have I mistaken preparation for postponement?
Who might be nourished if I shared my gifts more generously?
What is one courageous act of circulation I will complete before the next full moon?
Keep your final response specific.
One offering.
One action.
One commitment.
You may notice:

opportunities to teach, mentor, or contribute
a growing desire to share rather than perfect
less attachment to being ready and more trust in faithful practice
The Buck Moon reminds us that visible growth begins long before anyone else can see it.
Leo illuminates the gift.
Aquarius asks that it become an offering.
Tonight, your work is not to become someone new. It is to faithfully share what has already been growing within you.
